EU Regulation 1060/2010 fridge freezer labels.. EU Regulation 1059/2010 states that all domestic fridge and fridge freezer combinations on sale in the European Community have to be accompanied by an energy efficiency label nearby. Obviously A++ is more efficient (less costly to run) than A+. Two volume figures are shown, the non freezing compartment (for example 220 Litres) and the freezing compartment (for example 60 Litres). One of the most important icons is the freezer compartment star graphics (the middle snowflake icon in the two labels above). The stars assigned are as follows:
