Refrigerator Energy Labels in the European Community The EU document "COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) No 1060/2010" states that refrigerators sold in the EU must have labels of the type shown below attached to them. The actual document is very specific and at times difficult to decode. Here is a clearer, briefer, overview of the 7 class version : Note that this label cannot be used for wine storage fridges, which have a slightly different layout. If you want to try our software for creating these label images at 300 DPI or more just contact me. We can add your company name and logo at the top of the label. All you have to do is fill in the data. Note that the label above goes from classes D to A+++, but that there is also another refrigerator label which goes from classes G to A+++. Strangely enough in the EU documents says that the label below is for appliances which go from D to G, then illustrate it with a label of A++. Apart from the A++ error it could be that the EU wants to shame poor manufacturers who make fridges in the G to D class. Having to use a label with the black arrow so far down into low class zone is a great incentive to get into at least the C class. Maybe. Anyway, this site supports the creation of both types of label. The title of the image above in the EU specification is: "LABEL FOR HOUSEHOLD REFRIGERATING APPLIANCES CLASSIFIED IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY CLASSES D TO G" This is different from television labels, where the four different labels come in in four different years.
